Heidi Rentz

  • From – Born & raised in Englewood, Colorado. Today, I’ve somehow turned into a young snowbird & spend my winters/spring in Tucson & Whitefish, MT in the summer/fall
  • Day Job – Co-Founder/Director of our small business; The Cyclist’s Menu, Chef Z’s Sous Chef, Farmer & Chef Food Trailer in Whitefish, Montana, Endurance Cycling Coach
  • Cycling history/experience:
    • First mountain bike ride: May 16, 2006 — best day of my life!!
    • May 2008-2013: helped start a mountain bike touring company based in Moab, UT and spend the majority of my 6 years there ripping Moab trail and meeting tons of people from around the world, it was amazing!!
    • 2008: Started running trail marathons, a sport that is still a huge part of my life today.
    • 2010-2016: dabbled in XTERRA Triathlon
    • 2010-2016… Raced my mountain bike on the professional level. I don’t train like I used to & I don’t make time for racing as much anymore, but I will never “retire” from the sport of bike racing. It’s my time to get into my zone & do what I love the most: push myself to the limit, no one waits for me/I don’t wait for anyone, it’s the best medicine!!
    • 2015: Discovered gravel riding…
    • 2017: Experienced my first DK200 race
  • What you love about riding gravel/adventure cycling – The gravel bike can take you so deep into the middle of nowhere. I love that we can pack up for a big day on gravel bikes and have no real plan of attack. There might be a bit of singletrack, likely a handful of pavement miles, but my favorite part is finding that new tricky dirt road climb that you’d never see otherwise.
Teeth to the wind!!
